The First Meeting of the Preparations for the International Blue Industry Alliance was Held in Shenzhen

On December 9, the first China-EU Blue Industry Cooperation Forum was closed, and the China Oceanic Development Foundation (CODF) organized the first meeting of the preparatory work for the International Blue Industry Alliance in Shenzhen. The meeting was chaired by Pan Xinchun, assistant president of CODF.,the president Sun Zhihui and deputy president Lu Bin of CODF, the director, Zhang Zhanhai and deputy director, Shen Jun of the Strategic Planning and Economics Department of the State Oceanic Administration(SOA), attended the meeting and made speeches.

The meeting organized representatives of 30 Chinese and foreign companies to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on the preparations for the establishment of the International Blue Industry Alliance, and reached broad consensus on the purpose, objectives, nature, operational mechanism, organization, and preparation plan of the alliance. Representatives of the participating companies believed that the initiative of the first China-EU Blue Industry Cooperation Forum fully expressed the wishes of the current Chinese and foreign companies, and the establishment of the international blue industry alliance is what enterprises, countries and times need.

The meeting saw a serious discussion and opinions put forward on the construction of the international blue industry alliance proposed by CODF. Everyone thinks that CODF's proposal for the nature, business scope, organization and planning of the alliance is reasonable. It is hoped that CODF will organize and carry out preparatory work, and with the support of national government, organize the establishment of the International Blue Industry Alliance as soon as possible.

Through the discussion of the meeting, it also contributed to the cooperation of many companies in specific areas. For example, ZTE engaged in maritime satellite navigation cooperation with China Communications Construction company Ltd. and other companies; Kongsberg agreed to provide preferential conditions for the procurement of CNOOC equipment. Shenzhen Tefa Development Group promised to give foreign enterprises preferential policies for entering Shenzhen Central Europe Blue Industrial Park.; The Royal Dutch IHC Company is committed to providing members of the International Blue Industry Alliance with channels of cooperation with Dutch companies.
