On October 25, the China Oceanic Development Foundation held the unveiling ceremony of the Marine Library at the Yabadian Primary School, Longhua Town, Longhua County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, together with the Marine Ecological Environment Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center. The Deputy Director Huo Chuanlin of the Division of Marine Ecology and Environment of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the division's offecer Tang Zhenyi, the Director Su Yan of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center, the Director  Zhang Maodong of China Oceanic Development Foundation, the Deputy Director Nie Yihuang of the Longhua County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, and those teacher and student representatives from Yabadian Elementary Schools attended the event.

The related natural villages in Longhua Town, Longhua County, Chengde City, Hebei Province belong to the counterpart poverty alleviation points of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. The Marine Library of Yabadian Primary School radiates the surrounding 6 schools, including Shangyao Village Primary School, Qidaogou Village Primary School, Shihugoumen Village Primary School, Linggoumen Village Primary school and Maojikou Village Primary School. The foundation donated 200,000 yuan to the above schools, including marine books worth 100,000 yuan, a one-time scholarship of 18,000 yuan, a one-year lunch subsidy of 24,000 yuan, and 58,000 yuan of audio-visual equipment, cultural and sports supplies.
