——China Oceanic Development Foundation donated Ocean Library to the Middle School Affiliated to Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology

On December 1, 2019, a public education campaign of “Land and Sea together—Marine consciousness enters the Midwest (Shaanxi Station)”, co-sponsored by the Propaganda and Education Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ocean Press Co., Ltd., the China Oceanic Development Foundation, the China Ocean Society and China Pacific Society, Co-organized by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Natural Resources, Shaanxi Bureau of Surveying and Geographic Information, and the First Geodetic Survey Team of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and hosted by Xi'an Qujiang Ocean Polar Park, was opened in Xi'an Qujiang Ocean Polar Park.

The theme of this campaign is "Improving marine awareness and cherishing natural resources", aims to implement the strategic deployment of “Insist on overall planning by land and sea, and accelerate the construction of a strong marine nation” proposed by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party. By carrying out various forms of public education activities, the marine consciousness will be promoted to “enter the campus, into the community, and into institutions, enterprises, and institutions”, so as to increase the attention of the public in the central and western regions, especially the young people, to the ocean, and to reduce the gap between inland provinces and the coastal provinces in terms of marine awareness.

At the launching ceremony, on behalf of the Foundation, the Deputy Secretary General Xiang Youquan awarded a license to the Ocean Library of the Middle school affiliated to Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and donated 100,000 yuan of marine books. At the same time, the foundation and all organizers also donated marine book reading corners and digital marine readers to Shaanxi Zhaojin Beiliang Hongjun Primary School, Shaanxi Preschool Teachers College, and other schools, and donated VR marine science Experience machine to Qujiang Marine Polar Park.
