China Oceanic Development Foundation and National Institute for South China Sea Studies Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On December 14th, China Oceanic Development Foundation and National Institute for South China Sea Studies signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Haikou. The signing ceremony was presided over by Wu Shicun, President of National Institute for South China Sea Studies, and attended by Sun Zhihui, President, Lv Bin, Deputy President, Pan Xinchun, Secretary-General, Xiang Youquan, Deputy Secretary-General of China Oceanic Development Foundation, and Zhao Jianhua and Xi Jinsong, Deputy Presidents of National Institute for South China Sea Studies.

According to the agreement, based on the principle of "equality and mutual benefit and complementary advantages", the two sides will actively cooperate closely in global ocean cooperation and governance, international exchange of ocean affairs, maintenance of peace and stability in the South China Sea, sustainable development of the ocean, training of marine talents, popularization of marine knowledge and marine publicity and education.
