2018 National Clean Beach Public Welfare Activity Start on September 15th

The third Saturday in September every year is the International Beach Cleaning Day. This year, on the occasion of the 33rd International Beach Cleaning Day, with the support of the National Marine Environmental Monitoring Center and the coastal marine authorities at all levels, China Oceanic Development Foundation, together with the major coastal marine social benefit organizations in China, organized the 2018 National Clean Beach Public Welfare Activity in major coastal cities of China to address the marine garbage, aiming at gathering public welfare forces caring for the ocean and raising the awareness of the whole people to protect the marine resources and environment.

Organizers: More than 30 social organizations including Sanya BlueRibbon Ocean Conversation Association, Shenzhen Marine Environmental Protection Association, Dalian Environmental Protection Volunteers Association, Shanghai Rendu Ocean NPO Development Center and other.

Mechanism: The activity has set main venues in Sanya, Shenzhen, and Dalian, and branch venues in other major coastal provinces and cities across the country. It focuses on the coastal cleanup in the form of national linkage and integrating local characteristics to jointly create an atmosphere of "guarding the beautiful beach, we act together".
