The Special Fund for the Protection and Development of the Straits was established in Fuzhou on March 30th. The special fund was jointly established by Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries and CODF. CODF will boost the role of platform so as to promote the protection and development of the Straits.

Through the establishment of this special fund, CODF will, for the purpose of protection and development, actively implement marine ecological environment remediation, coastal wetland restoration, proliferation and release, research on marine resource development, and marine economic development.
