On November 26, 2021, Pan Xinchun, Vice President and Secretary General of China Oceanic Development Foundation (CODF), delivered a video message at the Marine Spatial Planning Session of the UN Decade of the Ocean Western Pacific Launch Conference. The conference was hosted by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Western Pacific Sub-Committee and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand, and co-organized by the First Institute of Oceanography of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the China Oceanic Development Foundation.
